Veneers are a quick and effective method in creating a perfect smile!
Why Choose Veneers
There are a number of dental conditions that can be successfully corrected using porcelain Veneers. This is especially true in some cases where other treatments are unsuitable, for example chipped, crooked or discoloured teeth. Veneers can also close gaps between teeth and straighten the teeth when other orthodontic treatments are not suitable.
What are Veneers
A porcelain veneer is a thin shell of porcelain that is similar in texture to natural tooth enamel, and fits over damaged, discolored, or misshapen teeth. Veneers are custom made to suit the colour, size and shape of your teeth and in this way they cannot be distinguished from existing teeth. Porcelain is an extremely durable material and therefore is not susceptible to decay and resists staining while maintaining a natural appearance. Its durability also ensures that Veneers function in the same way as existing teeth, and biting and chewing food can carry on as normal.
What is the Procedure for Dental Veneers?
Firstly Dr Kumar will take impressions of your teeth, then the new veneers are waxed onto a model, so that you can assess the shape, size and colour of your new smile straight away. With the help and advice of Dr Kumar you will decide how your new smile will look, then your existing teeth will be reshaped to accept the veneers. Temporary veneers will be fitted to your teeth while your actual veneers are being made. Approximately one week later the new veneers will be ready and in a follow up appointment Dr Kumar will be able to cement these permanently to your teeth.
You will have a straighter, whiter, younger smile in ten days.
